Ode 17

Our Quick Trip to Oregon

Joanie and I got in at 1:40 this morning and are dragging a bit from our three day trip to Oregon. Mom and Jim are great and so hospitable. We love getting up to Grants Pass to see them. It had been almost three years since our last visit with each other. While there we got to visit my cousins in the small historic town of Jacksonville (I asked to see where the Gators play...I'm not sure they got my humor). I can't even remember when we saw them last! (And just why did we think...

Oh, Canada!

My son, Kevin, and I, love skiing in Canada. It is so beautiful and the skiing is world class without the high altitude of the US slopes.  Here we are in the Purcell Mountains in southeastern British Columbia in March 2008.
