In My Neighborhood the Wind Must Be a Democrat

Yep. The wind must be voting down the Democratic Party lines where I live. Seems that the past few days it has been selectively blowing over the Republican candidates signage. That is just wrong. Weather (!) or not the elements agree with the candidates they shouldn't gang up on one side of the political fence. Those people spent their money on those signs and they should be allowed their right to display them be they Dem or GOP. By the way, I've been stopping along the roadside and putting them back up. Next thing you know fire and earthquakes will be getting involved.

Joe Biden Ticks Me Off

I just ran across an interesting post by the Executive Pastor at Granger Community Church, Tim Stevens. His blog is called Leading Smart and there is some great stuff to read and discuss. He posted Joe Biden Ticks Me Off where he discusses the giving percentages of all the candidates. Obviously, Tim is ticked that ol' Joe doesn't give a whole lot to charity. Read the post and check out the discussion that follows. How do you feel about it? How important is it to you that the leaders of our country give their financial support to charity?

More on the Election

I made a quick stop in a store today and over heard one of those aggravating conversations about the upcoming election. A woman said, "I'm voting for Obama."

The man replied, "I would not even think about voting for Obama!"

She: "Why? Because he's married to an intelligent black woman?"

He: "No! He has no experience and he's flip-flopped on most of the issues."

She: "McCain is too old and has flip-flopped on every issue too."

And it went on...

As I mentioned in my blog "McCain vs. Obama", it drives me nuts that so many Americans go purely by their feelings and never investigate the real issues. Let me give you an equation: Gut feeling based upon no information equals an uninformed voter. 

I received a letter today from Jimmy and Carol Owens giving some basic bullet points for Christian voters and their rights to speak in church, whether they be Democrats, Republican, or from the Planet Mars Party......
