Success!

In my meditations this morning I was greatly encouraged when I once again read Proverbs 2:7-10, "He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. 

I have enjoyed studying ancient wisdom literature since taking a class at Fresno Pacific University in the 80's. If I were to describe my findings I would use one word, timeless. Take heart in whatever your circumstance on this day. If misdirected people have treated you badly, work on...

...forgiving them and work at moving on. If you feel hopeless in this economy and that job you have been hoping for went to someone else, keep networking and getting your resume in front of people. If you just found out that illness came back, jump into the treatment with a great attitude, hoping and praying your recovery is just around the corner. Whatever it is, "He holds success in store for the upright."

A while back I began a career in real estate. Shortly after, a team leader asked how things were progressing. I responded, "Great! Five people told me no this week. I am that much closer to a yes!" 

When things seem dark and the world continues to inform you of how tough this economy is, you are solely responsible to keep shining the light of positivity. Surround yourself with a strong support group that will help you get passed the past. Read inspirational material, meditate, repeat a positive phrase to yourself continually, no more whining! How bright a future can you be facing if you remember,"He holds success in store for the upright." 

Timeless words. This knowledge should be pleasant to your soul!
